Grain Coolers and Air Treatment Units, like any other electromechanical equipment, require periodic preventive care and maintenance. Some services may be performed by the customer’s own technicians, trained by Cool Seed for this purpose. Other more complex services must be performed by specialized technicians, whether outsourced or our own team.
The lack of care or periodic preventive maintenance can cause serious problems to equipment such as; reduced throughput, malfunction, premature component wear, and reduced service life.
This equipment belongs to three major areas of engineering knowledge: electro-electronics, refrigeration, and metal-mechanics, however, its maintenance is simple; it basically consists of cleaning filters and coils with water and a neutral detergent, and retightening the electrical terminals. At least once or twice a year, a general review is recommended with a specialized technician from Cool Seed, or its technical assistance network, to ensure that the equipment is in perfect working order during the harvest or when required for use.
CARE WITH THE FALL OF THE ELECTRICAL VOLTAGE
Another common problem that usually happens in peak harvests is the undervoltage of the electrical grid, and being that this equipment is made up of refrigeration systems, it should not operate at voltage levels below 5%. Protection systems prevent the compressors from being subjected to risk and automatically shut down the entire set, but it is always advisable to take preventive measures and avoid exposing this equipment to abnormal operating conditions.
Cool Seed focuses on the satisfaction of its customers and for this, has a team of experienced technicians of its own or outsourced staff. Since our area of expertise covers all of Latin America, our team of technicians is composed of Portuguese and Spanish speaking staff, in order to facilitate communication with our customers.
